Turning a selection of sentimental jewellery into one piece that will bring joy and happiness to the wearer, is something we love to do!
We recently met a customer who came to us wanting to use several sentimental rings, including her own, which had been passed down to her to make something unique and special.
Sarah sadly lost her mum in 2021. She had been wearing her mum’s engagement ring for several years prior to her passing, due to her mum not being able to wear it. She liked to wear it next to her own engagement ring as she thought they sat well together.
Sarah also occasionally wore a ring from her husband’s grandmother which had been given to her by her mother-in-law many years ago. Interestingly, when her mother-in-law had given it to her she was under the impression the ring was just a costume ring, albeit very beautiful. However, one day Sarah and her husband Harry, visited an antiques fair and thought it might be worth asking one of their jewellery experts to look at it. Surprisingly, they found out it wasn’t a costume ring and it was in fact a white gold and diamond ring. Her mother-in-law was delighted with the news and felt it was even more special and important for Sarah to keep. When her mother-in-law sadly passed in 2009, Sarah also inherited her engagement ring.
2022 brought about thoughts of how Sarah could use all her inherited and sentimental rings into one beautiful ring she would wear every day. She knew her mum would definitely want her to continue to wear her engagement ring and the other rings were sat in her drawer not being worn.
Sarah said;
“I thought it would be lovely to bring them all together into one ring.”
Sarah approached us after searching online and was impressed by our great reviews and other stories of sentimental jewellery design.
Sarah went on to say;

The ring we have created for Sarah is an18ct yellow gold and platinum trilogy dress ring with cross-over diamond shoulders.
