Sean - Owner and Diamond Specialist

Sean's journey with the jewellery and watch trade began over 30 years ago. It includes a number of years with the goldsmiths group, honing his skills across many different jewellery stores and immersing himself in training with renowned worldwide jewellery and watch brands. This journey, coupled with his late brother Joseph’s (Joe's) invaluable expertise, laid the foundation for the establishment of their very own venture. In 2000, Josephs Jewellers was born.

At the core of the business has always been Joe's exemplary craftsmanship, a legacy that resonates strongly within Josephs jewellery to this day.

"I am very passionate about what I do and my work feels more of a way of life than a vocation - designing jewellery for a living and selecting the very best of the world's precious stones feels like an envious task."

With 22 years woven into the fabric of Ormskirk and a steadfast team accompanying Sean throughout much of this journey, including his daughter Dannielle for the past decade, Josephs Jewellers is truly a family business in every conceivable sense.

Sean recently married his wonderful wife Mary. Together, they share a deep appreciation for the great outdoors, frequently exploring and running the picturesque fells of the Lake District. He is also passionate about cycling. A pursuit that provides him with a serene inner calm, allowing his thoughts to traverse the open roads and draw inspiration from nature's finest offerings for his design endeavours.

Nic - In-House Goldsmith

Nic is Josephs' amazingly talented goldsmith. Nic has been in the trade for nearly 50 years (we know he doesn't look that old!). He qualified in 1976 with a city and guilds qualification in fashion jewellery from Manchester technical college. He carried out a 6 year apprenticeship, working for various jewellers in Lancashire

Nic came to work for Josephs 12 years ago and worked as their Goldsmith for 6 years. After a few years away, Nic returned in 2019 to become their Goldsmith.

After Nic Left school his father encouraged him to go down a different path to the rest of his family as they were all academic people. Nic's father had a military background and wasn't creative at all. Nic started his working life working in a metal workshop making silverware. This is what led to his passion for making and fixing jewellery.

In Nic's spare time, he is a keen motorcyclist and bowler and can be regularly seen riding through his favourite playground - Trough of Bowland.
