We would like to congratulate the gorgeous Lucy and Tom on their recent engagement in the Maldives. We always love hearing about our customers engagement stories, so it’s lovely when they are happy for us to share their news!
We spoke with Lucy recently and asked her about how her and Tom first met and how Tom popped the big question! They have been together now for 7 years and met in Ormskirk on a night out. They bought a house together last year and had talked about getting married one day, but they hadn’t discussed it in detail or looked at rings.
Tom knew of Lucy’s family connection with us (Josephs), because her Dad was a close friend with Joe, so Tom wanted to come to us for advice, as he was choosing the ring on his own. Tom chose the perfect ring for Lucy; an oval cut diamond, surrounded by a halo of modern brilliant cut diamonds, set on a platinum band. He used another ring Lucy wore sometimes to establish the size, to ensure it was just right.
This January, Lucy and Tom were very much looking forward to their luxury holiday in the Maldives, however Lucy was totally unaware of Tom’s plan to ask her to marry him whilst they were there. The setting was perfect, with the luxurious beaches and glorious weather. Tom was understandably nervous before he popped the question on the beach in the stunning setting of the Maldives, but Lucy was overjoyed and said YES! They celebrated with champagne afterwards and started to plan the rest of their lives together.
